Lou Hei
2007 February 4
‘Lou Hei’ is the tossing of ‘Yu Sheng’, a colourful salad platter of raw fish and crunchy vegetables, to symbolize luck and prosperity. The higher you toss the salad and the louder you shout ‘Lou Hei’, the more luck you will have in the coming year.
Had dinner at my cousin’s house today.
Tossing of the.. dish? Obviously, my hand was not moving. Awesome effect.

Ooh. I was wondering why the act seemed similar. In Malaysia, it’s called “Yee Sang”. D:
Erm, correction: Familiar, not “similar” >_
Cool! I think they also do this in china, but it is not done in Taiwan. Hmm.
